The ACCUPRO 12468888 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature applications. Built with four flutes and a 30-degree right-hand helix, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating-induced dimensional variation must be avoided. With a mill diameter of 0.125 inches and a 3/8-inch length of cut, this tool is well-suited for detail work, contour milling, and die or mold finishing. Machinists and toolroom operators working on CNC mills and machining centers are the primary users.
This end mill fits into the miniature series category, making it a practical choice for small-part machining, prototype work, and precision die-and-mold operations where a compact cutting profile is required. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collet chucks sized for miniature tooling. Its single-end configuration and solid carbide construction make it appropriate for job shops, aerospace component work, and medical-device machining where tight tolerances and consistent geometry are necessary.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collet chucks or end mill holders accepting a 1/8-inch shank. Suited for the miniature tooling series and compatible with standard ER collet systems in that shank size range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with miniature tooling setups. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Avoid side-loading the tool during plunging; use a ramping or helical entry strategy appropriate for ball end mills.
