The ACCUPRO 12467986 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. Built on a miniature series platform, it features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter with a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the tool tip and extends tool life in demanding applications. The AlTiN coating provides excellent heat resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this tool for finish milling, profiling, and slotting where edge integrity is critical.
This end mill is suited for precision machining centers and CNC milling equipment handling small-scale or intricate part features. The miniature series designation makes it well matched to die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and medical part production where tight tolerances and fine radii are required. The centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry, adding versatility in programmed toolpaths. The 3/4 inch length of cut supports moderate-depth passes without excessive overhang deflection.
Designed for use in CNC milling machines and machining centers equipped with standard 1/4 inch collet or end mill holders. Suitable for right-hand spindle rotation applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum engagement depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before initiating the first cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a small-diameter carbide tool.
