The ACCUPRO 12465793 is a miniature ball end mill designed for precision milling of tight-tolerance features, contoured surfaces, and small-radius profiles in hardened and abrasive workpiece materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes. The 0.0300 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 30-degree helix angle and four-flute geometry to balance chip evacuation with surface finish quality. An AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance and hardness at the cutting edge, extending tool life in dry or near-dry machining conditions. Machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, medical, mold-and-die, and precision instrument applications rely on this class of tooling for small-feature work.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups handling small-part and micro-milling operations. The 0.0450 inch length of cut keeps the tool stiff relative to its diameter, reducing deflection during climb or conventional milling passes. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and micro-tool holders common on VMCs and compact machining centers. Single-end construction is standard for this miniature series. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction conform to conventional CNC spindle rotation without modification.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle systems accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or tool holder. Suited for milling hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and other abrasive alloys in micro-milling and small-feature applications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder to the specified grip length before torquing the retention nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. At 0.0300 inch diameter, runout at the collet face must be minimized — use a high-precision collet or shrink-fit holder where possible to prevent premature tool breakage. Follow shop-specific feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut guidelines appropriate for the workpiece material and machine capability.
