The ACCUPRO 12465792 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.0290-inch cutting diameter and a 0.0430-inch length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry at a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN coating increases heat resistance and extends tool life in harder workpiece materials. Micrograin carbide substrate adds rigidity and wear resistance. This end mill is used primarily by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC machining centers and high-speed milling operations.
The 12465792 is suited for fine-detail milling in aerospace, medical device, and mold-and-die applications where small-radius features, slots, and contoured surfaces require a reliable miniature tool. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly found on CNC vertical machining centers and micro-milling spindles. The single-end configuration and 1-1/2-inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate reach work without sacrificing rigidity. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as a miniature series replacement-style solid carbide ball end mill compatible with standard 1/8-inch collet toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and micro-milling platforms.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Confirm collet and toolholder cleanliness and proper torque on the drawbar or collet nut before operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as miniature-diameter end mills are sensitive to even minor concentricity errors.
