The ACCUPRO 12464128 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. With a 0.0520-inch milling diameter and a 0.1560-inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance finish work, contouring, and profiling in die and mold applications. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers the edge retention and rigidity that machinists expect in small-diameter end mills. Installation and operation require CNC machining centers or high-speed spindles capable of the RPM demands of sub-1/8-inch tooling.
This end mill is suited for precision machining environments including tool and die shops, mold making operations, aerospace component production, and medical device manufacturing where fine detail work and close tolerances are required. The 0.1250-inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard 1/8-inch collet systems. The single-end configuration and miniature series classification position it as a dedicated finish or semi-finish tool rather than a roughing solution. Right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles fitted with 1/8-inch collet toolholding systems. No specific machine model compatibility was provided by the manufacturer for this SKU.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in a clean, undamaged collet to the specified grip length to prevent runout. Verify runout with an indicator before production cuts, as small-diameter tooling is especially sensitive to collet condition and spindle concentricity.
