The ACCUPRO 12464043 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling in tight tolerances and small-feature applications. The cutting diameter measures 0.021 inches with a length of cut (LOC) of 0.063 inches, a 1/8-inch shank diameter, and an overall length (OAL) of 1.5 inches. The four-flute geometry combined with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life during high-speed or dry machining operations. The micrograin carbide substrate supports precision work in hardened and abrasive materials. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC programmers working in mold-making, aerospace, and medical component manufacturing.
This ball end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, and finishing passes in small-scale or intricate workpieces where tight dimensional accuracy is required. The miniature series designation indicates it is intended for applications involving very small radii and fine detail work. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining center spindle configurations. The single-end design is standard for this diameter class. No chipbreaker geometry is present, keeping the cutting edge geometry consistent for finish work. The spiral flute type aids in smooth material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Designed for use in standard CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank. Part of the ACCUPRO Miniature series, intended for small-feature profiling and contouring in precision machining applications.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator using an appropriately sized collet or toolholder rated for 1/8-inch shanks. Verify runout and tool projection before starting a cut, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to excessive overhang and vibration. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters are within the tool manufacturer recommendations for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Handle solid carbide end mills with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges during tool changes.
