The ACCUPRO 12463229 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in tight-tolerance applications. The cutter features a 0.0800-inch diameter with a 0.0150-inch corner radius, providing a controlled edge break that reduces stress concentrations in milled corners. A two-flute geometry and 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promote efficient chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth cuts. The AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into material as well as perform peripheral cuts. Machinist and toolroom professionals working on CNC mills or high-speed machining centers are the primary users.
This end mill belongs to the Miniature series, making it suited for small-feature work such as slots, pockets, and contours in die and mold work, medical components, aerospace detail parts, and precision instrument components. The 0.625-inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes without excessive tool deflection. With a 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1.5-inch overall length, it fits standard collet chucks and toolholders sized for miniature tooling. Applications typically involve CNC machining centers running high RPM with light radial engagement.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill for use in standard 1/8-inch collet chucks and toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for small-diameter tooling.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and the machine control in a safe state. Secure the 1/8-inch shank in a collet or toolholder to the manufacturer-specified torque for that holder type. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production use, as radial runout is especially critical at small diameters. Consult machine and toolholder documentation for recommended clamping procedures; improper clamping at miniature diameters can cause tool breakage.
