The ACCUPRO 12462801 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end tool features a 0.015-inch cutting diameter and a 0.045-inch length of cut, making it well-suited for fine-detail work in tight tolerances. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. An AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting forces across the flute length for stable performance at small diameters.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling setups where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required. It is commonly selected for micro-milling operations in tool and die work, mold making, aerospace component finishing, and medical device manufacturing. The 1/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collets and tool holders sized for small-diameter end mills. Centercut geometry allows for plunge entry, adding flexibility to the machining workflow. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in precision shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 1/8-inch collet tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting small-diameter end mills.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and concentrically in the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. At 0.015-inch diameter, runout control is critical — verify TIR with a dial indicator before cutting to avoid tool breakage.
