The ACCUPRO 12462422 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machined from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter applications. The mill measures 0.051 inches in diameter with a 0.153-inch length of cut, a 0.125-inch shank diameter, and a 1.5-inch overall length. A 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the bright uncoated finish suits a wide range of general-purpose cutting applications. Centercutting geometry allows for plunge entry. This tool is typically installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working with vertical mills and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for light-duty profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where small-diameter tooling is required. The 0.051-inch diameter makes it particularly applicable to micro-milling tasks on precision components, prototype parts, and intricate features that larger tooling cannot access. The 2-flute configuration balances chip clearance with cutting efficiency in applications involving softer metals, plastics, and composites. No coolant-through capability is present, so external or flood coolant is recommended to manage heat in sustained cuts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit for CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter collet or toolholder. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC2-CC-30H series.
This end mill is installed and changed by machinists using appropriate collet toolholders rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before changing tooling. Verify collet runout and clamping torque per toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. At this diameter, tool deflection is a primary concern — minimize overhang and take conservative depth-of-cut passes to avoid breakage.
