The ACCUPRO 12462399 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.044-inch cutting diameter and a 0.132-inch length of cut, this micro end mill handles tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and contouring in small-feature work. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials at small diameters where tool deflection is a constant concern. The bright, uncoated finish suits general-purpose cutting where coating compatibility with the workpiece material or coolant chemistry is a consideration. Machinists and toolroom operators working with CNC machining centers are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling work in production and toolroom environments. The 0.044-inch diameter makes it appropriate for micro-slot cutting, engraving, and fine detail profiling on parts that require tight dimensional control. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collets and tool holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. It performs in aluminum, brass, steel, and other machinable materials where a small-diameter, right-hand cutting tool is required.
Designed as an OEM-style micro square end mill for use in standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills requiring a right-hand, single-end cutting tool with a 0.044-inch diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder torque procedures and runout inspection. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended engagement depth before tightening to avoid deflection or pullout under load. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before mounting. At this diameter, excessive feed rate or lateral load can cause tool breakage; always verify feeds and speeds against the material being cut before beginning a program.
