The ACCUPRO 12462265 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring extremely fine cutting diameters. With a 0.005-inch mill diameter and a 0.015-inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-milling applications where tight tolerances and clean edge geometry are critical. The micrograin carbide construction delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed at this scale. Two right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. The bright, uncoated finish suits a range of workpiece materials in standard shop conditions. Licensed machinists and precision toolroom technicians are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for precision machining centers, CNC mills, and manual toolroom mills performing fine detail cuts, slot milling, and profiling on small features. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and precision tool holders common in production and prototype environments. The 1.5-inch overall length and regular-length designation make it compatible with close-clearance setups where spindle-to-workpiece distance is limited. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard toolroom end mill for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter with ER collet or precision set-screw tool holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Use a calibrated torque wrench when tightening collet nuts to avoid micro-fractures in the carbide shank. At this diameter, runout must be minimized — verify TIR with a test indicator before beginning cuts, as even marginal runout will cause premature tool failure or breakage.
