The ACCUPRO 12277018 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision micro-milling operations. With a 0.009 inch cutting diameter and a 0.013 inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work in tight geometries where dimensional accuracy is critical. The 4-flute spiral configuration at a 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. Made from micrograin solid carbide, the uncoated substrate is well suited for applications where coating buildup could compromise tolerances at this scale. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals working in precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for micro-scale profiling, slotting, and contouring operations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its use in applications that require drilling-style entry into a workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional spindle setups. Its 1/8 inch shank diameter fits common collet and end mill holder sizes used in both production and prototype work. Applications include precision die and mold work, electronics component machining, and fine-feature part production in aerospace and medical manufacturing contexts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders accepting a 0.1250 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention mechanism according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use, as micro-diameter carbide tools are susceptible to edge chipping during handling.
