The ACCUPRO 12185194 is a solid carbide, double-end square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1772-inch (4.50 mm) mill diameter and a 0.374-inch (9.50 mm) length of cut, this stub-length tool delivers rigidity and accuracy in tight-tolerance work. The 40-degree helix angle and four-flute spiral configuration promote efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cutting cycles. This tool is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC mills, manual knee mills, and similar machining centers.
This end mill suits small-diameter milling tasks including slotting, profiling, and peripheral cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The stub length geometry minimizes deflection, making it a reliable choice for short-reach applications where runout control is critical. The uncoated finish makes it well suited for use with coolant in aluminum, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpieces, as well as light steel cuts where coating is not required. Its double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends.
Designed as a standard square end mill for use in collet-style and end mill holders accepting a 6.00 mm (0.236-inch) shank diameter on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a locked-out, tagged-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention hardware per the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly given the close shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0004 inches.
