The ACCUPRO 12184923 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contour milling, profiling, and 3D finishing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it offers the rigidity and wear resistance required for demanding CNC machining environments. The 1-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 2-inch length of cut and a 40-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in harder workpiece materials. This is a long-length configuration with a 6-inch overall length, suited to reaching deep pockets and complex contours that standard-length end mills cannot access.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers for die and mold work, aerospace component finishing, and general-purpose metal removal where a full-radius ball nose profile is required. The right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute geometry is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. The long 6-inch OAL makes it appropriate for deep-reach applications in production and toolroom settings. Installation and use require a machinist or CNC operator familiar with end mill selection, runout tolerance, and proper collet or end mill holder fitment.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill suitable for CNC machining centers using standard 1-inch diameter end mill holders or collet chucks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Use a properly sized end mill holder or precision collet to minimize runout, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed parameters appropriate to the workpiece material and depth of cut.
