The ACCUPRO 12184886 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metalworking applications. It features a 0.75 inch mill diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length, placing it in the long-length category for extended-reach work. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration and 40-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The micrograin carbide construction delivers rigidity and wear resistance suited to demanding CNC milling operations. No coating is applied, making it a straightforward choice when coating is not required by the application. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and CNC operators in machine shop environments.
This end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, and 3D surface milling in machining centers and CNC mills. The long length of cut supports deeper cavities and extended-reach profiling passes where standard-length tooling cannot reach. The single-end geometry and 0.75 inch shank diameter allow direct collet or end mill holder mounting in standard tooling systems. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional CNC spindle rotation. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for materials and cutting parameters where PVD or CVD coatings are not specified.
Designed as a direct-mount solid carbide ball end mill for use in standard CNC machining centers and vertical mills accepting a 0.75 inch shank via collet chuck or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retaining nut or set screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting to confirm acceptable tolerances for the intended operation.
