The ACCUPRO 12184763 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.1969-inch (5 mm) mill diameter and a 4-flute spiral configuration, this tool delivers smooth cutting action and efficient chip evacuation in confined geometries. The 40-degree helix angle improves surface finish and reduces cutting forces. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance profiling, slotting, and contouring work. It is a single-end tool with a right-hand cutting and flute direction, suited for use in CNC machining centers and high-precision manual mills.
This end mill is intended for applications requiring small-diameter ball-nose profiling, such as 3D contour milling, radius milling, and die or mold work. The stub length designation keeps the tool rigid and minimizes deflection, making it well suited for finishing passes and detail work. The uncoated micrograin carbide substrate performs across a range of workpiece materials when used with appropriate feeds, speeds, and cutting fluid. It is a standard choice for machinists in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments running small-diameter ball-nose operations.
Designed as a standard solid carbide ball end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 6 mm straight shank. Verify spindle collet or chuck compatibility with 6 mm shank diameter before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the power is locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into a precision collet or end mill holder to the recommended grip depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning the cut.
