The ACCUPRO 12184668 is a single-end ball end mill designed for profiling, contouring, and 3D milling operations in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for hardened steels, stainless alloys, and high-temp materials. The cutting edge measures 11.00 mm in diameter with a 25.00 mm length of cut, giving machinists sufficient flute engagement for medium-depth passes. An AlTiN coating reduces heat absorption at the tool, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. A 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across the full working length.
This ball end mill is suited for CNC machining centers running mold and die work, aerospace component finishing, and general precision part production. The 12.00 mm shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic chucks commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Its 76.00 mm overall length accommodates moderate-reach applications without excessive tool deflection. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry are standard for conventional climb-milling setups on most production CNC equipment.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with toolholders accepting a 12.00 mm straight shank, including ER collet, shrink-fit, and hydraulic holder systems standard in precision milling operations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before inserting or removing the end mill from any toolholder. Seat the shank to the correct insertion depth per the toolholder manufacturer specification and verify runout with a dial indicator before running the first pass. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
