The ACCUPRO 12184593 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, alloy, and hardened material applications. It features a 0.1772 inch (4.50 mm) mill diameter with a 4-flute configuration and a 40-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tight tolerances and consistent performance across repeated cuts. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in precision machining environments.
This ball end mill is suited for contour milling, profiling, slotting, and finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 6 mm shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders. With a 0.6299 inch (16.00 mm) length of cut and a 63.00 mm overall length, it is well-proportioned for regular-reach applications where rigidity and surface finish are priorities. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard configurations compatible with conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Designed for use in standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 6 mm shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills running right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling guidelines. Ensure the spindle and any automatic tool changers are fully powered down and locked out before handling or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth and torque the collet nut to the holder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
