The ACCUPRO 12184463 is a single-end ball end mill engineered for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for demanding cuts at higher speeds and feeds. The 3/16-inch diameter cutter features a 3-flute spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-1/8-inch length of cut, it suits both standard reach and moderately deep cavity work. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for a wide range of general-purpose milling applications without the added cost of a specialty coating.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for contouring, profiling, and finishing operations where a full-radius bottom is required. The ball-end geometry produces curved and complex 3D surface profiles common in die and mold work, part contouring, and radius slot milling. The 3/16-inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, allowing use in standard collets and end mill holders of that size. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional spindle setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard 3/16-inch collets or end mill holders; compatible with right-hand spindle rotation setups typical of general-purpose milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge depth and torque the retention mechanism per the machine manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut.
