The ACCUPRO 12184069 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.059-inch (1.50 mm) mill diameter and a 0.1181-inch (3.00 mm) length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work including slots, contours, and die cavities. The single-end, 2-flute design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention in demanding cutting conditions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC and manual milling environments.
This ball end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on small-diameter features in molds, dies, and precision components. The 3.00 mm shank diameter and 38.00 mm overall length make it compatible with standard collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling on vertical and horizontal machining platforms. Its stub-length classification offers improved rigidity in tight-tolerance applications where deflection must be minimized.
Designed for use in standard CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with collet chucks or tool holders accepting a 3.00 mm shank diameter.
This tool is installed and operated by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder specification. Verify runout after installation to maintain dimensional accuracy and tool life.
