The ACCUPRO 12183863 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, six flutes, and a 40-degree helix angle, this end mill delivers clean, efficient material removal in a wide range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides high wear resistance and edge retention compared to high-speed steel alternatives. It is center-cutting, allowing direct plunging into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry are standard on this configuration. This tool is sold individually and is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and plunge operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The regular-length classification and 1 inch length of cut make it appropriate for general-purpose machining tasks where a compact, rigid tool setup is preferred. The uncoated finish suits applications where coating compatibility with the workpiece material or cutting fluid is a consideration. CNC machining centers and manual milling machines with standard collet or end mill holder tooling systems accept this 0.5 inch shank diameter directly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 0.5 inch collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks used in CNC and manual milling applications.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or CNC operator using a compatible tool holder torqued to the machine and tooling manufacturer specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator after installation to confirm concentricity within acceptable limits. Follow the cutting tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
