The ACCUPRO 12183838 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 3-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length with a 1 inch shank diameter. The five-flute geometry combined with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating adds heat resistance and surface hardness, making this end mill well-suited for dry or high-speed cutting of hardened steels, stainless, and other difficult materials. Micrograin carbide construction provides edge retention and rigidity throughout the cut.
This end mill is used in CNC vertical and horizontal milling applications across job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. The regular length classification and straight shank make it compatible with standard ER or hydraulic collet chucks and end mill holders. It is appropriate for profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling operations where extended reach is not required.
Designed for use with standard 1 inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and hydraulic tool holders in CNC milling machines. Mill diameter tolerance is +0.000 / -0.002 inches and shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 / -0.0004 inches.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before seating or removing the end mill. Verify holder bore diameter matches the 1 inch shank and that the tool is seated to the correct gauge length per the job setup sheet. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
