The ACCUPRO 12183746 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, tool-and-die, and general machining environments. It features a 3/8 inch mill diameter with a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) corner radius and four right-hand spiral flutes. The extra-long configuration provides a 3 inch length of cut and a 6 inch overall length, allowing reach into deep pockets and slots that standard-length end mills cannot access. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers hardness and edge retention suited to demanding cut cycles. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with a bright uncoated finish, appropriate for dry cutting or use with cutting fluid in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentrations at part corners or to produce a specific fillet geometry. The extra-long reach makes it well suited for deep-cavity mold work, die sinking, and aerospace or automotive component finishing. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding flexibility for pocket interpolation without a pre-drilled entry hole. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die makers in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and conventional vertical mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 3/8 inch shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and tighten to the toolholder manufacturer's torque specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage if impacted or improperly clamped.
