The ACCUPRO 12183636 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering-material applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for demanding cuts. It features a 0.25-inch diameter with a 1.5-inch length of cut and a 6-inch overall length, placing it in the extra-long category for reach into deep pockets or extended setups. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This is a centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into a workpiece. Machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers select this end mill for applications where standard-length tools cannot reach.
This end mill suits vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC knee mills, and manual knee mills running right-hand spindles. The extra-long overall length makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, long-reach profiling, and applications where workholding fixtures or part geometry prevents use of a standard-length tool. The 4-flute spiral configuration supports finishing and light-to-moderate material removal in steel, aluminum, and similar machinable materials. The uncoated finish is suited for general-purpose use or applications where a specific coating is not required by the material or operation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose end mill for use in right-hand spindle machining centers and knee mills accepting a 0.25-inch round shank.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the 0.25-inch shank fully into a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the cutting end before beginning a cut to avoid premature tool wear or dimensional error.
