The ACCUPRO 12183577 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. With a 1/2 inch mill diameter, 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.060 inch corner radius, this tool is built to produce accurate radiused profiles while extending tool life at the workpiece edge. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and wear protection suited to dry or high-speed machining of ferrous and hardened materials. A 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and toolroom professionals on CNC milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, and slotting operations where a radiused corner is required to reduce stress concentration or meet part geometry specifications. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes in tool steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and similar materials. The long-length configuration with a 4 inch overall length provides reach for deeper pockets and stepped features without requiring extended-reach toolholders in most standard setups.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 1/2 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, or hydraulic toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's torque and retention specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum grip depth in the toolholder to prevent pullout during cuts. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning production cuts.
