The ACCUPRO 12183565 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 0.0200 inch corner radius, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that improves wear resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Machined from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill holds tight tolerances and performs consistently in high-speed CNC milling applications. It is a single-end, centercutting tool suitable for slotting, profiling, and contouring cuts.
This end mill is suited for production and job-shop machining environments where edge blending, corner radii, and fine surface finish requirements are critical. The long-length configuration and 1 inch length of cut make it effective for applications requiring deeper reach without sacrificing rigidity. CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on molds, dies, and precision components will find this tool appropriate for both roughing passes and finish work where corner integrity matters.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1/2 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool runout and holding torque. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify holder and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain concentricity within tolerance. Tool reach and overhang should be minimized to the extent the job allows to reduce deflection.
