The ACCUPRO 12183528 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.045 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in profiling and finishing passes. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. Micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and edge retention across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. The long-length configuration with a 4 inch overall length and 3/8 inch shank diameter provides reach for deeper pockets or features that standard-length tooling cannot access. It is typically selected by machinists working in steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials where a radiused corner profile is required to meet part geometry or to improve tool durability at the cutting corner.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine placed in an e-stop or lockout state per shop safety procedures. Seat the 3/8 inch shank fully into a matched collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use. Handle solid carbide tooling carefully to avoid edge damage from contact with hard surfaces.
