The ACCUPRO 12183453 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/16 inch diameter with a matching 3/16 inch shank, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration and extends tool life at part edges. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 4 inches overall length, this is a long-reach configuration suited to deeper cavity and slot work. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry. Micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance for demanding applications. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is used in precision machining of ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a radiused corner profile is required to reduce stress risers or meet part geometry specifications. Its long overall length of 4 inches makes it appropriate for deep slot milling, pocket roughing and finishing, and contour work where standard-length tools cannot reach. The bright/uncoated finish makes it a cost-effective choice for applications where coating is not required or where re-sharpening is anticipated. Single-end configuration is standard for this tool class.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 3/16 inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by machinists using an appropriate collet chuck or end mill holder matched to the 3/16 inch shank diameter. Verify runout and tool holder cleanliness before seating the tool. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for collet nut tightening. Confirm spindle direction and cutting parameters before engaging the workpiece.
