The ACCUPRO 12183375 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that protects edge integrity and reduces stress concentrations at part corners. The micrograin carbide substrate paired with a TiCN coating delivers hardness and lubricity for extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. With a 40-degree helix angle and 4 right-hand spiral flutes, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in CNC machining centers for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations.
This end mill suits production and job-shop environments where corner radius geometry is required on steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The extra-long overall length of 6 inches allows reach into deep pockets and tall workpieces where standard-length tooling cannot access. The single-end, centercutting configuration supports both plunge entry and lateral feed paths, giving the operator flexibility across a range of milling strategies. A 3/4 inch shank diameter provides rigid tool holding in standard ER, Weldon, and hydraulic chuck systems common in production machining.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter in ER collet, Weldon flat, shrink-fit, or hydraulic chuck holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool assembly and runout verification. Confirm shank seating depth meets the holder manufacturer minimum engagement specification before operation. Always power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing tooling. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after chucking to stay within tolerance for the intended surface finish and dimensional requirements.
