The ACCUPRO 12183358 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 5/8-inch mill diameter, a 3-inch length of cut, and a 0.02-inch corner radius, this tool delivers controlled edge geometry that reduces stress concentrations at the base of milled features. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials at elevated spindle speeds. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This is an extra-long series tool with a 6-inch overall length, suited for reaching deep pockets and stepped features.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where extended reach and corner radius geometry are required. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and deep-pocket profiling where a sharp inside corner is not acceptable or where a fillet radius is specified by design. The centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/8-inch straight shank toolholder or collet.
This tool is installed by machinists using a 5/8-inch collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit toolholder rated for the intended spindle speed and cutting forces. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut. Power down or E-stop the spindle completely before changing tooling. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and cutting data tables for recommended speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for the specific workpiece material.
