The ACCUPRO 12183314 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter with a 0.09 inch corner radius, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance suited for demanding cutting applications. With 4 flutes and a right-hand spiral flute geometry, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities are the primary users.
This end mill is classified as an extra-long length type, making it well suited for applications requiring extended reach into deep cavities, pockets, or slots where standard-length tooling cannot reach. The bright/uncoated finish makes it appropriate for use with or without coolant across a range of base materials. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are compatible with standard CNC machining center spindle configurations. The 1/2 inch shank diameter fits common ER and end mill holders used on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as a direct-fit tooling option for standard 1/2 inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and milling chucks used on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the manufacturer-recommended torque for the holder type being used, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool guidelines when handling carbide cutting tools.
