The ACCUPRO 12183239 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metal cutting applications. It features a 1/4 inch diameter with a 0.06 inch corner radius, producing consistent radial blends and reducing stress concentrations at part corners. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A TiCN coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With an extra-long 4 inch overall length and 1-1/2 inch length of cut, this end mill reaches deeper pockets and stepped features that standard-length tools cannot access. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills where corner radius profiles are required in steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials. The extra-long reach makes it appropriate for deep-cavity work, mold and die finishing, and multi-step contour passes. It is a single-end tool sold individually and is typically selected by machinists and toolroom professionals needing consistent corner geometry across production runs or prototype work.
Designed as a standard 1/4 inch shank corner radius end mill compatible with any CNC or manual milling machine spindle accepting 1/4 inch round shank toolholders, collets, or end mill holders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge chipping on carbide tools.
