The ACCUPRO 12183188 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a controlled edge radius and extended reach. Built with a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and a 0.015 inch corner radius, this tool reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 3 inches overall length with a 1 inch length of cut, it is suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach work. The bright/uncoated finish makes it compatible with a broad range of workpiece materials. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pilot hole.
This end mill is used in CNC milling operations across tool-and-die, mold making, aerospace, and general precision machining environments. The extra-long configuration and small diameter make it well suited for profiling, slotting, and finishing operations in deep pockets or narrow features where reach is a limiting factor. It is a single-end tool intended for use in standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holders. Machinists and CNC programmers working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites will find this geometry appropriate for finishing passes where edge quality and dimensional control are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician familiar with end mill tooling and collet systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the minimum recommended engagement depth to prevent tool pullout during operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, and confirm cutting parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
