The ACCUPRO 12183075 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard material applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for demanding cuts. The 7/16-inch diameter tool features 4 spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a 2-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length, it is sized for long-reach applications where standard-length tooling falls short. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follows conventional milling practice, and centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill suits production and job-shop machining environments where ferrous and non-ferrous materials are milled on vertical machining centers, CNC knee mills, and similar equipment. The long-length configuration makes it well suited for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling operations where a standard-length tool cannot reach the full depth of cut. The uncoated micrograin carbide substrate is appropriate for general-purpose applications across a range of work materials, including steel, aluminum, and cast iron, when used with proper speeds, feeds, and cutting fluid as required by the material.
Designed as a general-purpose square end mill compatible with standard 7/16-inch tool holders, collets, and end mill adapters used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with rotating cutting tool setup. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening to avoid runout or tool pullout during cutting. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against published cutting data for the specific work material before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use; damaged carbide tooling should be removed from service immediately.
