The ACCUPRO 12183050 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentrations and extends tool life at milled corners. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry provides efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. Micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and wear resistance suited to high-speed machining environments. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece. Machinists and toolroom professionals install and operate this type of cutter in vertical mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for contouring, profiling, and finishing operations where a radiused corner is required to meet part geometry or reduce stress risers. The long-length configuration and 3 inch overall length make it appropriate for reaching into deeper pockets or step features. The bright/uncoated finish performs well in aluminum, brass, and similar non-ferrous applications, as well as in some steel applications where coatings are not specified. Its centercutting design also allows use in ramp and plunge entry paths common in CNC programming.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for 3/8 inch collet or end mill holder setups in vertical mills and CNC machining centers requiring a corner radius end mill with a 3/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet chuck or end mill holder, ensuring the tool is seated to the correct gage length before tightening. Confirm the spindle and all axes are at a full stop and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool's rated speed and feed parameters as established by the machine operator or shop programming standards.
