The ACCUPRO 12182985 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding cutting environments. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, this tool delivers extended wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting temperatures. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length, classifying it as a long-length end mill suited for deeper reach applications. The 40-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is intended for use in ferrous and non-ferrous metal machining operations where extended reach and aggressive material removal are required. The long-length configuration makes it well-suited for profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling in workpieces with deep features or elevated fixturing. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, adding versatility in multi-operation setups. The 1 inch straight shank fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders common in CNC machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 1 inch end mill holders, ER collet systems, and hydraulic toolholding systems on CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tool-and-die professional. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before inserting or removing the end mill. Secure the shank to the specified clamping torque of the toolholder manufacturer and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's rated RPM or the end mill's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material.
