The ACCUPRO 12182885 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for demanding cutting operations. The tool features a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, extending tool life in high-cycle production environments. A TiCN coating lowers friction and improves hardness at the cutting surface. With a 40-degree helix angle and 4 right-hand spiral flutes, the 12182885 promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is suited for stub-length milling applications in vertical and horizontal machining centers, as well as manual milling machines. The 3/8 inch mill diameter and 5/8 inch length of cut make it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and contouring passes where a corner radius is specified to reduce part stress or match a drawing callout. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. This tool is appropriate for shops working in tool steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials where TiCN coating provides an advantage.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for 3/8 inch collet or end mill holder setups on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a corner radius end mill with a 3/8 inch shank.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock engaged before mounting or removing the end mill. Verify collet size matches the 3/8 inch shank diameter before tightening. Inspect the tool for edge chipping or coating wear before each use, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits after seating in the holder.
