The ACCUPRO 12182845 is a single-end, centercutting corner radius end mill ground from micrograin solid carbide and coated with titanium carbonitride (TiCN). It carries a 5/16-inch cutting diameter and a 0.06-inch corner radius, producing a controlled blend between a flat bottom and the workpiece wall. The 40-degree right-hand helix promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces across a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With four flutes and a stub-length configuration, it delivers rigidity and surface finish quality in tight-tolerance finishing and semi-finishing passes. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use it in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill suits precision work in mold and die applications, aerospace components, and general job-shop machining where sharp inside corners must carry a defined radius. Its 1/2-inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length make it well suited to shallow-pocket and side-milling operations where tool deflection must be minimized. The 5/16-inch shank diameter matches standard ER collet chucks and end-mill holders commonly found in vertical machining centers. Single-end geometry keeps the tool compact and easy to preset on a tool-length offset probe.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill compatible with standard 5/16-inch ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end-mill holders used in CNC and manual vertical machining centers.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine control in an e-stop or locked-out state. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the retention mechanism to the holder specification before running. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use. Follow all applicable shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting tool length offsets and running initial test cuts.
