The ACCUPRO 12182439 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. With a 13/64 inch (0.2031 inch) cutting diameter and 4 spiral flutes ground at a 40-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in a wide range of materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding production environments. It is a centercutting design, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpart. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills will find this tool suited to slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling tasks.
This end mill is sized for lighter finish work and tight-tolerance detail cuts where a smaller diameter tool is required. The 1/4 inch shank fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders commonly found in job shops and production machining environments. The regular-length body with a 5/8 inch length of cut suits applications where reach is not a primary constraint. Its uncoated finish makes it appropriate for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and brass, as well as certain steels where a coated tool is not specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 1/4 inch straight-shank end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and similar toolholding systems used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or drawbar is disengaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank to the recommended insertion depth for the holder type in use — insufficient engagement reduces rigidity and can cause tool pull-out. Verify runout at the cutting diameter after clamping before beginning a cut.
