The ACCUPRO 12182413 is a single-end corner radius end mill ground from micrograin solid carbide for demanding milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It carries a 3/16-inch cutting diameter with a 0.01-inch corner radius that blends the floor and wall of a pocket to reduce stress concentrations and extend workpiece life. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry at a 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and efficient cutting action. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating would add excess edge buildup. With a 5/8-inch length of cut and a 2-inch overall length, the tool fits standard short-reach setups in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for profiling, slotting, and pocket milling in machine shops producing precision components. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry, making it practical for full-profile pocket work without a pre-drilled center hole. The 3/16-inch shank diameter mounts directly in standard ER collets, end mill holders, or shrink-fit tooling. It is typically used by machinist and toolroom personnel running CNC vertical machining centers, knee mills, or similar equipment where tight-tolerance corner geometry is required.
Designed as a standard short-reach corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter via ER collet, end mill holder, or equivalent tooling system.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing any end mill. Seat the shank to full recommended insertion depth in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cutting operations, as excessive runout accelerates wear and can fracture carbide tooling.
