The ACCUPRO 12182410 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool features a 0.1772 inch (4.50 mm) mill diameter with a 0.6299 inch (16.00 mm) length of cut, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in tight-tolerance applications. Four spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The TiCN coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. Micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention. This end mill is single-end, right-hand cut with right-hand flute orientation, and is centercutting capable, allowing direct plunge entry.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for die and mold work, fixture fabrication, and general precision machining. The 6.00 mm (approximately 0.2362 inch) shank diameter and 63.00 mm (approximately 2.480 inch) overall length fit standard ER and precision collet toolholders common in vertical machining centers. The regular length designation and compact diameter make it appropriate for fine-detail work and shoulder milling in confined areas. Machinists working in job shops, aerospace component manufacturing, and tool rooms will find this tool suited to their close-tolerance requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit cutting tool for CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter in ER collets or precision toolholders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following safe toolchanging procedures with the spindle fully stopped and machine in an e-stop state. Ensure the collet and toolholder are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the shank to maintain runout specifications. Torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before initiating a cut.
