The ACCUPRO 12182355 is a single-end, four-flute square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for high-speed cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The TiCN coating provides additional hardness and lubricity at the cutting edge. With a 1 inch milling diameter, a 1.75 inch length of cut, and a 40-degree helix angle, this tool is optimized for aggressive material removal while maintaining surface finish quality. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during operation.
This end mill suits vertical and horizontal machining centers in job shop and production environments. The 1 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock tool holders commonly found on CNC mills and manual knee mills. The 4 inch overall length positions it as a regular-length tool appropriate for general-purpose face milling, slotting, and peripheral milling operations. Its centercutting design allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, making it flexible across multiple toolpaths. Machinists working in aerospace, die and mold, and general fabrication will find this a practical general-duty solid carbide option.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1 inch shank diameter in ER collet chucks, milling chucks, or side-lock tool holders.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully in the tool holder and torque the retention mechanism to the tool holder manufacturer specifications before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use. Do not exceed the tool diameter and material-specific feed and speed parameters recommended by the manufacturer.
