The ACCUPRO 12182341 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, composites, and hard materials. With a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) mill diameter and four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting in tight pockets and slots. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cuts. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention suited to high-speed machining. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working on vertical machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill fits standard 1/8 inch collet toolholders and is appropriate for finish and semi-finish milling operations on aluminum, steel, stainless, titanium, and similar workpiece materials. The 9/32 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length make it well suited to shallow pocket milling, slotting, and profiling where a compact tool with minimal overhang is required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration match standard spindle rotation on conventional CNC equipment.
Designed for use in 1/8 inch collet toolholders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills requiring a compact square end mill with a regular-length profile.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the spindle fully powered down and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state per shop safety protocols. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut according to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut — excessive runout on a small-diameter carbide tool accelerates edge chipping. Carbide end mills are brittle; avoid dropping or contact with other tooling during storage.
