The ACCUPRO 12182299 is a solid carbide square end mill built for precision milling in demanding shop environments. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length, placing it in the long-reach category for applications that require extended access to a workpiece. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, while the TiCN coating adds surface hardness and wear resistance. Three spiral flutes balance chip load with cutting stability. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a long-reach tool is required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tighter tolerances and better edge retention compared to standard carbide grades. Typical applications include deep-pocket milling, side milling along tall workpiece walls, and finishing passes where tool deflection must be minimized.
Designed as a direct-fit tooling option for standard 3/4 inch collets, ER toolholders, and end mill holders used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or toolholder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout on a long-reach end mill accelerates wear and can cause chatter or tool breakage.
