The ACCUPRO 12182271 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. With a 0.125-inch cutting diameter, 3-flute geometry, and a 40-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean chip evacuation and stable cutting performance in both roughing and finishing passes. The micrograin carbide construction provides edge retention and wear resistance in demanding applications. At 3 inches overall length with a 0.75-inch length of cut, this is a long-series configuration suited for applications requiring reach into pockets or stepped features. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for vertical and horizontal CNC milling centers as well as manual knee mills where small-diameter tooling is required. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling on most spindle setups. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material without a pre-drilled hole, making it versatile for pocket milling, slotting, and contouring operations. The uncoated finish is appropriate for aluminum, brass, and other non-ferrous materials where coating adhesion is not a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 1/8-inch straight shank tool holders, collets, and end mill adapters.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the retention hardware per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout above acceptable limits will accelerate edge wear on small-diameter carbide tooling.
