The ACCUPRO 12182269 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in milling operations. Built from micrograin carbide substrate and finished with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, this tool delivers extended wear life and thermal resistance in demanding cutting environments. The 1 inch cutting diameter is paired with a 2 inch length of cut, a 1 inch shank diameter, and a 6 inch overall length, making it well suited for deeper reach applications. Three spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and knee mills are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is intended for use in general-purpose and production milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a long-reach, center-cutting tool is required. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration matches standard spindle rotation on conventional vertical and horizontal machining centers. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The long length classification provides additional reach for deep-pocket, slot, and contour milling operations where standard-length tooling cannot access the feature geometry.
Designed as a standard-shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks sized for a 1 inch shank diameter on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout-tagout state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder and verify runout with a dial indicator before taking the first cut. Consult the machine manufacturer and tooling documentation for appropriate feed, speed, and depth-of-cut parameters for the workpiece material.
