The ACCUPRO 12182169 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.25 inch mill diameter, a 0.375 inch length of cut, and a 2.0 inch overall length, this is a stub-length tool built for rigidity in tight-clearance applications. The 40-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and edge retention beyond what standard carbide grades deliver. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills where close tolerances are required.
This end mill suits stub-length applications where reach is limited and chatter must be minimized. The three-flute configuration balances chip load and surface finish, making it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and light pocketing in aluminum, brass, mild steel, and similar materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry match standard spindle rotation on conventional vertical and horizontal milling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for standard 0.25 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and compatible milling spindles accepting a 0.25 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's runout and torque specifications for the holder type in use. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth meets the holder minimum engagement requirement before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and should never be dropped or struck against hard surfaces.
