The ACCUPRO 12182161 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 5/32 inch (0.1563 inch) cutting diameter, a 3-flute spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle, and a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating that improves wear resistance and surface finish. The stub-length configuration provides added rigidity during aggressive cuts. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. It is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and consistent chip evacuation are required. Machinists and toolroom operators specify this tool for finishing and light roughing passes in confined workpiece features.
This end mill is appropriate for slot milling, profile milling, and contour operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The stub overall length of 2 inches and 3/8 inch length of cut make it well suited for shallow-pocket work where tool deflection must be minimized. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are compatible with conventional CNC spindle setups. No extended reach is provided, reinforcing its role as a rigid, close-tolerance milling tool for production and toolroom environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with collet toolholding systems accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the collet nut. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
