The ACCUPRO 12182158 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built to stub-length geometry, it features a 0.125 inch cutting diameter, a 0.25 inch length of cut, and a 40-degree helix angle with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance suited to demanding cutting cycles. Three spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently while maintaining surface finish. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard. This tool is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Machinists and tooling professionals install and run this end mill on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations where a stub-length tool reduces deflection and improves rigidity. The 0.125 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and precision hydraulic holders compatible with that shank size. Its compact 1.5 inch overall length makes it appropriate for low-clearance setups and shallow-reach applications. The TiCN coating extends tool life compared to uncoated carbide when cutting alloy steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter end mill held in ER collet or end mill holder systems.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended for the holder type before torquing the nut or clamping mechanism. Inspect the collet and holder bore for debris or wear before each installation. Do not exceed the spindle speed and feed parameters established for 0.125 inch diameter carbide tooling in the material being cut.
