The ACCUPRO 12182043 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide, it offers the rigidity and edge retention needed for consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The cutter measures 13/32 inch (0.4063 inch) in diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 7/16 inch shank diameter. A 40-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. Three flutes provide a balance between chip clearance and surface finish. This end mill is uncoated and center-cutting, making it capable of plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling passes.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar materials. The regular-length geometry keeps it practical for standard-depth cavities and contour work. Machinists and CNC operators working on close-tolerance parts will appreciate the tight mill diameter tolerance of +0.000 / -0.002 inch and shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0004 inch, which support repeatable tool offsets and minimal runout at the spindle.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and set-screw tool holders accepting a 7/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the tool holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the collet nut or set screw per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the tool tip after installation before beginning a cut.
